PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good image without image flow by eliminating paper powder and talc produced from a transfer material adhering to the surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 1 and a transfer roller 5 are rotated at difference circumferential speeds at non-image-formation time, an electrifying roller 2 and an exposure device 3 are turned off, a toner image formed on the drum 1 adheres to the transfer roller 5 by performing the on/off control of a developing bias impressed on a developing device 4 from a developing bias power source 21, and the drum 1 and the roller 5 are controlled by controller 24 so as to be rotated at speeds having relative difference in the same direction at a transfer nip part N, so that the toner image adhering to the surface of the roller 5 rubs the surface of the drum 1, the paper powder and the talc produced from the material P adhering to the surface of an image carrier are eliminated, and the good image without the image flow can be obtained. |
