PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery allowing the battery to have good bonding between an electrode active material and a conductive material, a good flow of electrolyte ions and a high charge/ discharge capacity. SOLUTION: An electrode layer constituted of at least an electrode active material, a conductive material and a binder is provided on an electrode current collector, and the electrode active material Lix Niy O2 in the range of 2.5-3.2 g/cm<3> is contained in the electrode layer, where 0.8<x<1.2, 0.8<y+z<1.2, 0<=z<=0.35, M is one or more kinds of Co, Al, Mn, Fe. The binder in the range of 1-5 wt.% is contained in the electrode layer, and slice-like graphite having the center grain size larger than the center grain size of the electrode active material is used for the conductive material to form an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. |
