PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment with which an incoming call response convenient for a user can be set and extremely improved convenience can be provided. SOLUTION: When an incoming call from an ISDN line 108 has been received, with a device state (such as the empty state of a memory 103 or line conditions) detected together with the condition of whether the registered telephone number of a present set is matched with incoming number information from the ISDN line 108 or not as judgement conditions, at an incoming control part 104, it is judged whether the incoming call shows incoming ability or incoming disability caused by a device state or caused by non-coincidence between the registered telephone number of the present set and the incoming number information and in the case of incoming ability, an incoming response message is controlled to be sent out but in the case of incoming disability, either incoming refusal or incoming ignore is controlled to be selectively executed corresponding to whether the incoming disability is caused by the device state or the non- coincidence between the registered telephone number of the present set and the incoming number information.
