PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost mounting structure of a lever device for vehicle which ensures an enhanced safety by reducing hazard of a wound of a driver/ passenger in the event of collision. SOLUTION: A body side mounting member 21 supported by a body member of vehicle is coupled with a holder side mounting member 22 to support a cable holder 15, and a coupling means 23 disengages the coupling when a collisional load exceeding a specified level is applied to an operating lever 14. When the knee, etc., of a driver or any other passenger runs into the lever 14 in the event of collision or the like, the collisional load F disengages the body side mounting member 21 from the holder side mounting member 22, and the cable holder 15 and the lever 14 held by the holder 15 falled out, and the reaction force from the lever 14 acting on the driver's knee is reduced by this falling out of the lever 14, etc., and a wound of the knee is avoided or its hazard is reduced to a great extent. Thus the safety of the driver is heightened. |
