PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce an inexpensive ID card which is excellent in surface smoothness by press-heating a sheet material while continuously carrying the sheet material without providing a groove where an IC unit is housed in the sheet material. SOLUTION: A first sheet material 1 which has an image receiving layer on one surface side, and an adhesive layer on the other surface side, and a second sheet material 4 which has a writing layer on one surface side, and an adhesive layer on the other surface side, are carried in such a manner that the adhesive layers may be apart and confronted with each other, and an IC unit 6 is inserted between the adhesive layers of the first and second sheet materials 1, 4 which are carried, and the first and second sheet materials 1, 4 which are carried after the IC unit 6 has been inserted, are superposed, and continuously press-heated, and the IC unit 6 is enclosed in the adhesive layers, and the press-heated first and second sheet materials 1, 4 are punched out, and cards are formed. |
