The new design of an endoscopic stitching unit has a working area (1) positioned at the tip of a hollow shaft (5) operated with handles (2), similar to those of a pair of scissors. Two separate tweezer parts (3,4), one movable (4), one stationary (3) attached to the shaft (5) hold the tissue during the stitching process with their gripping areas (9) while simultaneously guiding the thread through grooves (10) positioned on top to the needle (8) facilitating precise stitching.
