摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new transcription control factor comprising a protein binding to a κB-like sequence of a biophylaxis protein gene and having a specific molecular weight, corresponding to the control in the transcription reaction to RNA, and useful for elucidation of expression-controlling mechanism of the biophylaxis protein gene. SOLUTION: This transcription control factor is a new protein binding to a κB-like sequence of a biophylaxis protein gene and having about 59 kDa molecular weight, corresponds to the control of transcription reaction to RNA and is useful for elucidating how the control of the expression of the biophylaxis protein gene is carried out. The protein is obtained by carrying out a PCR of a cDNA library of a cultured cell NIH-Sape-4 derived from an embryo of Sarcophaga peregrina by using a degenerate primer formed based on a partial amino acid sequence, cloning a cDNA of a protein having 59 kDa of the PCR product, incorporating the obtained 59 kDa protein gene to a vector, and expressing the gene in a host cell. The gene binding activities of the 59 kDa protein are recognized to have a case in which the gene is competitively inhibited on the genes of other biophylaxis proteins.
