PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically rewritable stereoscopic display and a displaying method satisfying all of the three factors of binocular parallax, binocular convergence and ocular focal distance regulating action which are factors for feeling three-dimensional feeling. SOLUTION: This display is provided with a displaying means 101 for displaying a two-dimensional image in order, and an imaging position control means 100 for image-forming an optical image of the two-dimensional image in a desirable position. This displaying method is a method for carrying out volume type three-dimensional display by imaging the optical image of the two-dimensional image displayed by the displaying means 101 while varying image-forming positions 103, 104 to their depth directions by the imaging position control means 100.
