Bituminous emulsions, method for producing the same and their uses

The inclusion of a phosphoric or thiophosphoric additive in a bitumen emulsion formulation gives improved adhesion and stability on storage. The bituminous phase comprises an additive of the general formula (I): - R-((-O-CH2-CH2)n-O-)3-m-P(=X)-(XH)m (I) X = O or S; m = 0, 1 or 2; n = 0, or 1 - 10; r = CxH2x+1 alkyl, CxH2x-1 alkylene (x = 13 - 20) or phenyl. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of the emulsion and its uses.
