PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the breakdown voltage of a capacitor by easily forming an insulating slit for segmenting a metal evaporation electrode of a metalized film capacitor, and enhancing the operational precision of a fuse part provided on both segments, for improved safety characteristic. SOLUTION: A metal evaporation electrode 5 of a film 1 is divided into hexagonal segments 6 by 3-way insulating slits 2, 3, and 4 which are not in the width direction of the film 1, adjoining segments are connected together with a fuse part 9 provided at an intermediate position on the insulating slit 2, and a fuse part 10 provided at a meeting point of the insulating slits 3 and 4 at both ends of the insulating slit 2, and each insulating slit ends round at each fuse part, with an area of each segment selected to be 25-900 mm<2> .
