The plate has a top walking surface (18) provided with apertures and stuck onto a smooth base plate (12). The walking surface can be composed of various different shaped layers (18). The top surface (18) can have a mesh structure formed from webs (22) connected together defining two-dimensional geometric shapes. The webs have a flat adhesive surface and on their side facing the base plate have cross grooves. An adhesive layer or foil may be placed between the base plate and top surface.
