PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor which can automatically select an optimum feature amount in accordance with a picture processing and executes the picture processing and to provided a picture processing method and a medium recording a picture processing control program. SOLUTION: A computer being the center of the picture processing obtains a luminance distribution histogram based on an added result sampled by different evaluation reference in a step S310. It obtains different feature amounts from the different luminance distribution histograms in steps S320 and S330 and converts picture data based on the respective feature amounts in a step S350. Thus, the optimum picture processing can be realized.
