摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detecting device capable of efficiently detecting flaws at high resolution by easily generating plate waves even if a member to be inspected is a thin plate. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic flaw detecting device to inspect defects, etc., in a member to be inspected through the use of an ultrasonic array probe 2, in which a large number of ultrasonic oscillators 11 are arranged side-by-side, is provided with an ultrasonic wave transmitting means 3n to set the timing of driving the individual ultrasonic oscillator 11, so as to vibrate the surface of a plate at periods equal to the wavelength of the plate wave of the member to be inspected through the use of the phase velocity of plate-wave ultrasonic waves propagating in testing plate, based on the plate thickness and the frequency of the member to be inspected; an ultrasonic wave receiving means 4n to make ultrasonic waves oscillated by the ultrasonic wave transmitting means 3n incident onto the member to be inspected, and to receive ultrasonic signals at the same timing as transmission received by the individual oscillator 11; and an adding means 8 to add the received signals together after delaying them. Therefore, it is possible to receive plate waves efficiently.
