PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for reducing phosphorus from a protein- containing food, by which a food useful for a dietary care of a patient with renal failure, suffering from hyperphosphatemia is obtained by heating the food including an animal protein by far infrared irradiation, and dipping the food in warm water to carry out phosphorus-reducing treatment of the protein- containing food. SOLUTION: A food including an animal protein such as meat, chicken, whale, fish and shellfish is heated by far infrared irradiation to denature the protein, and dipped in warm water such as alkali ion water at 20-35 deg.C to carry out phosphorus-reducing treatment of the protein-containing food in the treating method for reducing the phosphorus from the phosphorus-containing food. The phosphorus-reduced food including the protein is preferably dipped in an aqueous solution of an amino acid to prepare the phosphorus-reduced food. |
