Hydraulic slider valve assembly

A hydraulic slider valve (1) has a number of hydraulic connections spaced along the slider. The slider can move inside a sleeve formed by a number of ring sections separated by elastic sealing rings (32). The sealing rings (32) are normally unstressed and with their outer dimensions less than that of the rings. When the valve is under pressure the rings compress the sealing rings and cause them to expand and effect the seal between the hydraulic circuits. This ensures that the slider can move without any drag on the seals.
