PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently manage a telephone number in an electronic telephone directory. SOLUTION: When a telephone directory list display is set by an operation from an operation part 3, a name of a called party, its telephone number and a communication equipment kind are read out and, at the same time, a picture sign corresponding to the read out communication equipment kind is read out from a picture sign storage part 6, and a picture consisting of the name of the called party, its telephone number and the picture sign of the communication equipment kind corresponding to the telephone number are displayed on a display part 2 on the basis of the read out picture signal, the name and the telephone number.
