An in-vehicle hands free kit (11, 31) is disclosed. The kit comprises an in-vehicle receptacle (12, 32) for receiving a mobile phone (15). The receptacle (12, 32) has a set of contacts to mate with corresponding external contacts (16) of the mobile phone (15) in order to provide electrical contact therebetween. The set of contacts are connected to electric circuit means including an electromagnetic signal transceiver. The in-vehicle receptacle (12, 32) has means to engage the mobile phone to restrain it from separating therefrom. An electromagnetic signal microphone transceiver/transducer means (17, 33) is locatable within cabin of the vehicle, wherein the electromagnetic signal transceiver communicates with the electromagnetic signal microphone transceiver/transducer means (17, 32).
