Devices for fixing furniture items, particularly shelves and lids, relating to the furniture and the latter's component industry, specifically the DIY assembly furniture industry. The upright 1 is slipped into the tube of the tubular screw 2 - or of the mounting consisting of a tube 21 and a nut 22 - which, in turn, is slipped into a hole that exists in the shelf or lid 3. The cover 5, equipped with ribs 51, after previously being slipped into the upright 1 together with the elastic piece 4 equipped with striations 41, is opened by hand at the tip of the tubular screw 2, which opening-up gives rise to the longitudinal crushing of the elastic part 4, which generates its transverse expansion with resulting reduction in the size of the respective axial hole and inherent fixing by compression against the outer surface of the upright 1, thereby preventing sliding of the device and respective shelf or lid along the upright. <IMAGE>
