<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plastic composition useful as a credit card, a bottle, a pipe or the like identifiable as components, sources, production years or the like by including a pigment composition comprising a pigment containing a specific amount of a specified encoded compound therein. SOLUTION: This plastic composition is obtained by including a pigment composition comprising a pigment (e.g. Pigment Red 57:1) containing an encoded compound (e.g. copper phthalocyanine), containing an azo, an azomethine or a polycyclic chromophore, having an absorption spectrum and a Raman spectrum different from the Raman spectrum of the pigment and adsorbed on the surface thereof or contained as a physical mixture in an amount of <=10 wt.% based on the total weight of the pigment composition. Polyvinyl chloride or the like is cited as a plastic preferred as a base. The plastic composition is capable of facilitating the recycling or utilization of the plastic and preventing a theft or a fraud of a highly valuable plastic product and useful as an index to aging or deterioration of the composition.</p> |
