PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound giving molded products excellent in flame retardancy and electrical reliability without using any halogen-based flame-retardant, by compounding a polyester resin, magnesium hydroxide, talc and polyethylene glycol, and then kneading them. SOLUTION: This material is obtained by compounding (A) a polyester resin (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate), (B) magnesium hydroxide having an average particle size of, preferably, 0.1-25μm, (C) talc having an average particle size of, preferably, 0.1-25μm and (D) a polyethylene glycol having a freezing point of, preferably, -20 to 20 deg.C at normal pressure, and then kneading them. It is preferable that 0.1-1.5 pts.wt. of the component D and 10-30 pts.wt. of the component C are included based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B and that 15-40 pts.wt. of the component B is included based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A.
