The invention concerns an accelerometer automatically controlled by a mobile plate using capacitance variations to detect mass movement, comprising: at least a rigidly fixed electrode (3) integral with an armature (2), at least a mobile electrode (5) suspended by springs (7) to the armature (2), opposite each fixed electrode (3, 4), so as to form at least a capacitor (8, 9), each mobile electrode (5) capable of being displaced relative to each fixed electrode (3, 4) by the effect of an acceleration, thereby producing a variation of each capacitor (8, 9), and an electronic circuit (10) for adjusting the electrostatic stiffness, and comprising an automatic control system (20) detecting the variation of each capacitor (8, 9) and reacting by applying a counter-reacting voltage between each mobile electrode (5) and the fixed electrode (3, 4) opposite said mobile electrode (5). The invention is characterised in that the springs (7) have a stiffness selected so as to deliberately set the mechanical resonance frequency beyond the high frequency of the band concerned, and that the circuit (10), adjusting the electrostatic stiffness, is adapted to bring back the apparent resonance into the band concerned.
|
