Process to create detector system for computer tomography appts.

The process involves determining image relevant physical qualities of each detector element and storing the data in a database. Detector elements for a single mounting position of a detector system are chosen using a table. The table contains the allowed upper or allowed lower threshold value for at least one quality deviation w.r.t. at least one neighbouring detector element. The process is continued to complete the detector system and the selected element are assembled. The image relevant qualities are detector signal strength, z-gradient, spectral qualities, beam drift, afterglow and temperature drift.
