Compsns. (A) are claimed, contg. (a) PVC, (b) poly-DHP (poly-dihydropyridine) cpd(s). of formula (I). T=1-22C alkyl (opt. substd. with 1-18C alkoxy or alkylthio, OH, (meth)acryloyloxy, halogen, Ph or naphthyl), 6-10C aryl or heteroaryl (opt. substd. with 1-18C alkyl or alkoxy, or halogen), 3-10C alkenyl, CH3COCH2CO-OR-, CH3COCH2-COO-R'-, CH3-C(NR'''2)=CH-COOR- or CH3-C(NR'''2)=CHCO-OR'-; L=as for T, or the tri- or multi-valent residue of a linear or branched alkyl gp., opt. substd. with 1-12C alkoxy or alkylthio, 5-10C aryl, 1-12C carboxyl or OH; m,n=0-20; k=0 or 1; j=1-6; j(k+m+n)=more than 1; m+n=greater than 0; R, R'=methylene, phenylene, or a gp. of formula -(CpH2pX)tCpH2p- (opt. substd. with 1-12C alkoxy, thioalkoxy or carboxyl, 5-10C aryl or OH); or, if k=0 and j=more than 1, R+R'+L=direct bond; p=2-8; t=0-10; X=O or S; R''=H, or 1-18C alkyl, 2-18C alkoxycarbonyl or 6-10C aryl (either opt. substd. with one or more 1-12C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, halogen or nitro gps.); R'''=H, or 1-18C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or alkoxyalkyl, or 2-22C alkenyl; or the two R''' gps. together may=3-5C alkylene, opt. with in-chain O; (c) at least one substance from the gp. consisting of (i) crystalline hydrotalcites, (ii) crystalline or amorphous zeolites, (iii) crystalline or amorphous dawsonites, magadiites or kenyaites, (iv) disaccharide alcohols and (v) sterically hindered amines contg. the unit (II). and (d) Zn, Al or lanthanide cpd(s). Also claimed is (i) a stabiliser combination (B) consisting of components (b), (c) and (d); and (ii) a process for the prodn. of stabilised PVC, by mixing (b), (c), (d) and opt. other additives with PVC in a calender, mixer, kneader or extruder etc.
