<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely conduct inspection work and sorting work for an article by arranging plural polygonal supports at such intervals that articles are placed on an inspection station, and rotating a support where an article is placed in the direction to which the direction of the article is changed. SOLUTION: Polygonal support rollers 10 where fruits A are placed are circulated to move in the conveying direction while being pressed to a rotation applying belt 24, and the fruits A placed between the support rollers 10... are reversed. Simultaneously, both the surface and the back and both of the right and left surfaces are image-picked up by image pickup cameras 30-33 of a determining device, the whole of the peripheral surface of the fruit A can be inspected accurately and surely. According to the image data image-picked up by the image pick-up cameras 30-33, the grade of the fruit A is determined, so that even if discoloring, decay, damage, or a scar is caused in a partial peripheral surface of the fruit A, it can be surely found so as to precisely perform inspection work and sorting work for the fruit A.</p> |
