PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive film which, when applied to glass or the like, can prevent the occurrence of such visual action that orange peel is created. SOLUTION: A separate film 4 is applied to the backside of a PET film substrate 2 through a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 is formed of a polymeric pressure-sensitive adhesive having an mol.wt. of 100,000 to 1,000,000 in a thickness of 10 to 40μm, and the force necessary for peeling a separate film 4 from a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 is set at 1.0 to 10 gf/25 mm. These setting conditions can inhibit roughening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3 in its surface layer after the separate film 4 is separated from the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 3.
