The heating flange, esp. for a boiling water apparatus, has a disc (1), which carries a thick-film heater conductor (5), two water tubes (9,10), a safe-temperature limiter (14) and a temperature sensor. The water tubes are arranged so that they occupy as little as possible of the useful area on the flange disc, leaving it for the heater conductors. The flange disc has entry holes (6,8) for each water tube. One hole (6) lies in the middle of the flange disc and the other hole (8) at the periphery. The heater conductor extends in several curves beside the central tube hole, extends over an area between the holes and, in the region of the safe-temperature limiter, it is thermally coupled.
