<p>The present invention relates to a system for melting and processing glass for artistic use, and the associated method of use, which comprises a discontinuous-operation electric furnace having at least one charging mouth in its upper part and a discharge hole in its bottom part, a charging machine, suitable for introducing in succession, via said charging mouth, charges of material for melting, and a device for obtaining cullet, arranged in the vicinity of said discharge hole. The furnace has two heating elements, i.e. of the electrical resistance type and electrode type, respectively, which are immersed in the vitreous mass.</p> |
