PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cushioning function by expansion when it is used by storing a pressure gas in a container which endures pressure of a gas sealed therein but is broken and opened by a force from the outside and closing hermetically it. SOLUTION: This on-site expansion type air cushion 2A is prepd. by a method wherein two flat plastic films are heat-sealed to form a hermetically sealed thin bag 3A and a pressure gas-sealed ampoule 1A is stored therein and a plurality of these hermetically sealed thin bags 3A in which the pressure gas sealed ampoule 1A is stored are connected with. When the air cushion 2A is used, bending or twisting stress is applied on the pressure gas-sealed ampoule 1A existing in the hermetically sealed bag 3A to produce a crack on a notch part. As the result, the pressure gas sealed in the ampoule 1A is exhausted through the crack and the bag 3A is expanded to form the air cushion. The ampoule which is broken and from which the gas is exhausted acts for providing stiffness to the aircushion in the bag. |
