For axial securing and/or rotary drive of the central borer (12), the boring tool (1) with its clamping end (6) is formed in two parts. The boring tool has a through hole (13) for the central borer. The central borer is held in positive engagement in the boring tool by holding components. In the area of the clamping end of the central borer radially extending projections (14) are provided which work in conjunction with radially extending recesses (15) in the clamping shaft of the boring tool in the sense of a positive engagement connection. The boring tool is connected with its clamping shaft (11) via a screw thread (8,10).
