PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantify the angle of rotation and the enlargement rate of a wiring pattern in an image and to facilitate subsequent image retrieval by performing Hough transformation for a binary image obtained by a 1st binarizing process means. SOLUTION: The 1st binarizing process means 502 performs a threshold value process for an image obtained by an edge detecting means 501 to obtain binary image data of active pixels and inactive pixels. A 2nd binarizing process means 504 performs a threshold value process for a Hough-transformed image obtained by a Hough transformation means 503 to obtain binary image data of the active pixels and inactive pixels. Adjacent pixels in the binary image obtained by the 2nd binarizing process means 504 are grouped by a labeling process means 505 and a representative point calculating means 506 obtaines the representative point coordinates of each grouped label. A straight-line component estimating means 507 obtaines a linear equation as to a linear part in an edge component of a source image from coordinate information on respective representative points obtained by the representative point calculating means 506. |
