PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide gas concentration detecting device which can measure the oxide gas concentration in a gas to be measured with high resolution and accuracy regardless of the used sensor. SOLUTION: A nitrogen oxide concentration detecting device detects first and second pump currents IP1 and IP2 and, after correcting the detected values based on correction data stored on a floppy disk, the NOx concentration in a gas to be measured by using a standard characteristic, namely, the characteristic indicating the relation between the pump currents IP1 and IP2 and the nitrogen oxide concentration in the gas to be measured and stored in the ROM of an ECU. The correction data mate the premeasured characteristic of a sensor main body with the standard characteristic in connection with the characteristic indicating the relation between the currents IP1 and IP2 and the nitrogen oxide concentration in the gas to be measured. Therefore, even when a different NOx sensor is used form measuring the NOx concentration in the gas to be measured, the same measured result can be obtained with accuracy. |
