LIQUID HOUSING AND DISTRIBUTING APPARATUS HAVING FLOW RATE CONTROL VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid housing and distributing apparatus effective for housing and distributing ink in an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: A main reservoir generally held to atmospheric pressure is provided to an ink housing and distributing apparatus 10 for an ink jet printer and connected to a variable vol. chamber through an one-way valve. The one- way valve permits the flow of ink from the reservior to the chamber but prevents the flow of the ink from the chamber to the reservior. The chamber is connected to the ordinarily closed fluid outlet preventing the outflow of the ink to the outside and is a part of a pump provided with an ink supply operated in order to supply the ink from the reservoir to the printer. The pump has a linearly operated pumping member and the flexible diaphragm placed on the pumping member and the diaphragm has impermeability not permitting oxygen and moisture to pass and prevents the deterioration of the ink in the chamber.
