PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound capable of preventing static electricity from generating when cutting a glass roving and providing an FRP molded product having excellent boiling resistance by coating the glass roving with a specific antistatic agent. SOLUTION: This compound uses a cut material of a glass roving coated with an antistatic agent composed of a compound represented by the formula (R1 is a 1-20C alkyl; R2 to R5 are each a 1-4C alkyl) as a reinforcing material for a thermosetting resin. When the antistatic agent represented by the formula is added to a binder, the amount thereof added is preferably 0.01-5 wt.% expressed in terms of the active component. Glass fibers having 13.5μm diameter are coated with a binder containing 0.3 wt.% of, e.g. lauryldimethylethylammonium ethyl sulfate as the antistatic agent represented by the formula, 0.2 wt.% ofγ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane as a coupling agent, 0.1 wt.% of a cationic surfactant as a lubricant and 10 wt.% of a vinyl acetate emulsion as a film former to prepare a glass roving.
