The profile has a hollow space in which exhaust output air (17) and outer fresh air (16) are fed past one another for heat exchange in the resulting counter flow. Milled-in breakthroughs (14a) are formed in a fan area and in a heat exchanger area. These areas are arranged between large horizontal and vertical profile chambers (15w) and an outer all-round intermediate space (11) together with a inner all-round intermediate space (12). The all-round intermediate spaces can be used as annular collecting chambers for the air. The heat exchangers are always connected in parallel, independent of installation location.
