<p>A tensile system (306) for attachment between a first body and a second body having relative movement with respect to each other includes at least one tensile element (304) attached to the first body and at least one collapsible energy cell (334) coupled between the tensile element (304) and the second body. The collapsible energy cell (334) includes a buckling elastomer spring (333) and has a normal state when the buckling elastomer spring (333) is unbuckled and a collapsed state when the buckling elastomer spring (333) buckles. The tension variations in the tensile element (304) apply a compressive force to deflect the buckling elastomer spring (333).</p> |
