摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of obtaining an excellent collimation in a wide range without expansion of a transmission beam diameter. SOLUTION: In the beam collimation method of a laser beam machine 1, a collimation lens 13 capable of being moved and positioned on the optical axis is provided near the output mirror 11 of a laser generator 3, and shifted based on the equations for calculating the optimum position of the collimation lens 13 when the laser machining head 7 is moved to an arbitrary position on the optical axis. The equations areΔX=(80L-400), L=X+Y (whereinΔX: shift distance of collimation lens, X: optical path length on X axis, and Y: optical path length on Y axis).</p>
