PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of photographic properties and sensitivity during storage by having a layer which has a non-photosensitive organosilver salt, a reducing agent for the salt and a binder and further contains a swellable inorganic lamellar compound on a support. SOLUTION: A material is a thermal recording material containing a non- photosensitive organosilver salt and a reducing agent for the salt or preferably a thermal development photosensitive material containing a photosensitive silver halide in addition to them. The material contains a swellable inorganic lamellar compound at least in one layer of its constitution layers. As the lamellar compound, swellable clay minerals such as bentonite and hectonite, swellable synthetic mica, and others are named. By the incorporation of the swellable inorganic lamellar compound, the deterioration of sensitivity by storage can be prevented. Besides, the deterioration of photographic properties such as the increase in fogging can be prevented. |
