Protein having pdz domain sequence

摘要

In the process of analyzing changes in gene expression by TNF alpha in human umbilical vascular endothelial cells, a gene showing enhanced expression due to the stimulation with TNF alpha was isolated. As the result of screening with the use of this gene as a probe, a gene encoding a novel protein was isolated. By analyzing the protein encoded by the thus isolated gene, it has been found out that this protein is a novel one which has never been reported hitherto and has a PDZ domain in its molecule playing an important role in protein/protein interactions.
