<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously send an HDTV signal and other image signal by using an HDTV digital serial transmission circuit for one system. SOLUTION: Each 10-bit of HDTV GBR signals in total 30-bit whose sampling frequency is 74.25 MHz from a signal source 100 are converted into a Y signal 10-bit and a compressed PbPr signal 20-bit at a matrix conversion circuit 101, a time division circuit 102 applies time division multiplex processing to the PbPr signal to convert the signal into a YPbPr signal in 20-bit. On the other hand, 4-system of analog NTSC signals (111-114) are A/D-converted into each 10-bit by a sampling frequency that is 1/4 of that of the HDTV GBR signal and the signal in total in 40-bit is converted into a signal in 10-bit by a time division multiplexer circuit 130. The HDTV YPbPr signal and the 4-system NTSC signals in total in 30-bit are given to a parallel/serial conversion P/S circuit 104, where the signals are converted into a serial signal in 2.2 Gbps, the signal is converted into an optical signal and it is transmitted. The NTSC signal or the like is sent simultaneously without the use of other transmission line by compressing the HDTV signal.</p> |
