The synchronisation device for synchronising the random number gemerators (4,6) at the transmission and reception ends of a transmission path (3) for encoded information uses a respective recognition circuit, for detecting a given combination of binary elements within the signal sequence transmitted or received, for providing an output signal for resetting an associated counter or shift register within the random number generator to a given value.
