The vehicle sliding roof, with an opening in the roof, has a sliding roof lining plate (10) moving along guides (11). During the sliding movement along the guides (11), from and into the rest position, it has a low friction movement while being moved to and from the sealed fit with a frame (4) for the vehicle roof or the fixed inside roof lining (17). Sliding shoes (12) give the low friction movement.
