Granular pigment formulation contains organic pigment particles coated with a mixture of a resin (I) with an acid number≥200 and a resin (II) with an acid number < 200. Also claimed is preparation of the formulation. Preferably the resin mixture contains 1-80 wt.% (I) and 20-99 wt.% (II); and the formulation contains 20-55 wt.% resin mixture. The resins are based on rosin. An unlaked azo pigment is used.
