METHOD FOR INCLUSIVE IMMOBILIZATION OF NITRIFYING BACTERIA AND CARRIER THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the inclusive immobilization of nitrifying bacteria which increases the degree of activity of the nitrifying bacteria and the strength of the carrier and can produce an inclusive immobilization carrier with stabilized quality and the carrier. SOLUTION: Activated sludge containing nitrifying bacteria is mixed with an immobilization agent to prepare a raw material. In the inclusive immobilization of the nitrifying bacteria in the immobilization agent by polymerizing and gelatinizing the raw material, the degree of nitrifying activity of the activated sludge before the inclusive immobilization is set up to be 10-70%, preferably 20-60%. When the degree of nitrifying activity exceeds 70%, activated sludge of a lower degree of nitrifying activity is mixed to adjust the degree of nitrifying activity to be 10-70%, preferably 20-60%.
