The invention concerns a tooling outfit wherein each insert (70) has a trapezoidal transverse section, whereof the small base faces its rear surface (70b), planar and parallel to its front surface (70a), whereas the cradle (22), having likewise a trapezoidal transverse section, is provided with a top bearing surface (27) planar and orthogonal to its longitudinal axis and is transversely inclined along a sloping line (31) forming an angle (P) relative to its longitudinal axis and said inclination is produced by rotation about a straight line (36) passing through the reference cutting edge (13), i.e. the cutting edge machining the face requiring the highest precision.
