PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make light loss as equal as possible irrelevantly to from which of input/output waveguides light is inputted. SOLUTION: Straight lines 291 to 395 are assumed which reach a 2nd end surface 33b from different places on a 1st end surface 33a through one reference point P in a plane waveguide 33. First input/output waveguides 351 to 355 are connected to the plane waveguide 33 at the intersections of the straight lines 391 to 395 and the 1st end surface 33a. Second input/output waveguides 371 to 375 are connected to the plane waveguide 33 at the intersections of the straight lines 391 to 395 and 2nd end surface 33b. |
