PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition keeping characteristic features of polyamide, having high impact resistance even in absolute dry state and producible at a low cost by compounding a polyamide with a new elastomer obtained by the acid-modification of a polyolefin elastomer polymerized with a metallocene catalyst under restricted modification condition. SOLUTION: This composition contains 90-70 pts.wt. of a polyamide (preferably an aliphatic crystalline polyamide such as nylon 6 and nylon MXD6 or a crystalline polyamide containing aromatic group in the molecular chain) and 10-30 pts.wt. of an acid-modified polymer (preferably a polymer modified with 0.01-1.0 wt.% of a carboxylic acid in terms of maleic anhydride) of a polyolefin elastomer having a principal structure of the formula (CH2 -CH2 )n (CH2 -CHR)m [R is CH3 (CH2 )L; L is 3-8 side chains] [preferably an ethylene.α-olefin copolymer having anα-olefin comonomer ratio of 5-30 wt.% based on ethylene] polymerized by using a metallocene catalyst. |
