PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject lightweight member prevented from abrasion and damage by providing the main member body and a submember having a region subject to contact with other members and made of an amorphous carbon-contg. material. SOLUTION: This member for sporting goods has the main member body of desired shape and a submember either directly or indirectly attached to the main member body and having a region subject to contact with other members; wherein at least the above region is made of an amorphous carbon- contg. material. This member is obtained by winding a pipe-shaped form with a fiber-reinforced prepreg prepared by impregnating reinforcing fibers arranged in parallel with one another with a synthetic resin; in this case, the reinforcing fibers consists of an amorphous carbon-contg. material.
