The device is mounted pivotingly on a support chassis (2) for engagement with forks (F) of a fork lift truck. The support chassis has pivoting members (3), at its end opposite to the fork engagement end. The pivoting members cooperate with complementary members (4) which face the underside of the bucket (1) for allowing, a measure of the elevation of the bucket, and its automatic pivoting by using a forklift truck, thus allowing emptying of the waste into a container (C). A pair of springs (11) help to bias the bucket back onto its base after tipping when the tension on the connection member is removed.
