Conveying pollutant liquids e.g. crude oil, chemicals and fuels

The method is especially suitable for conveying polluting fluids, e.g. crude oil or petrol. The method involves conveying in e.g. open-pore or -cell sponge, foam rubber or foam particles in dimensions capable of flowing. The substrate and fluid are then conveyed by pipelines or hoses. They are carried in tanks of road or rail vehicles, or in seagoing craft. Also claimed is the corresponding substrate.
