PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high capacity lithium secondary battery by preventing the deterioration of a positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery, in which a sheet-like positive electrode 1 and a sheet-like negative electrode 2 face opposite each other via a separator 3, the sheet-like positive electrode 1 is manufactured by forming a coating film containing at least a positive electrode active material and a binder on a conductive base body. At least polythetrafuoroethylene and modified polyolefin is used as the binder. A polytetrafluoroethylene content in the binder is 5 to 95 wt.% particularly preferable 10 to 90 wt.%, and the modified polyolefine content is 5 to 95 wt.%, particularly preferably 10 to 90 wt.%. |
